Live from the Edinburgh International Festival, artist-in-residence, pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard, performs Chopin, Debussy, Messiaen, Scriabin and Obouhow.
International Festival artist in residence, pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard takes to the Queen’s Hall stage for a recital of nature and mysticism. Aimard performs Messiaen’s sparkling portraits of birds, alongside a selection of Debussy preludes. Sensuality and spirituality are explored in music by Scriabin and Russian-born Nikolai Obouhow, alongside three of Chopin’s Nocturnes.
