Andreas Staier performs an all-Schubert recital at Wigmore Hall, including the Piano Sonata in C minor D958

Andreas Staier, renowned for his performances and recordings on the fortepiano and harpsichord, plays on a modern piano for this all-Schubert recital. Schubert鈥檚 Impromptus are often considered companion pieces to his Six moments musicaux. Here Staier performs both sets alongside one of the composer鈥檚 final piano sonatas, a tribute to the theme of Beethoven鈥檚 32 Variations in C Minor.
