Michael Hughes wrote the novels 'The Countenance Divine' and 'Country', a retelling of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½r's 'Iliad' set on the Northern Irish border during the Troubles.
Born in Armagh, he also teaches creative writing at Queen's University Belfast.
