The Battle for Number 10
Who'll be the next PM? We hear from International Development Secretary, Rory Stewart & cabinet colleague Liam Fox. Also Unite leader Len McCluskey & Change UK leader Heidi Allen.
Theresa May is leaving No. 10, but who will succeed her? The list of candidates who have entered the race is lengthening by the day. We have one of them, International Development Secretary Rory Stewart, on Pienaar’s Politics. Rory says he’ll quit the cabinet if Boris wins. We’ll also hear from Rory’s cabinet colleague International Trade Secretary Liam Fox. Who will he back in the race? Is he entering it himself?
Labour is bracing itself for bad news after the European election, but Unite union leader Len McCluskey is in bullish form about Jeremy Corbyn’s prospects and keen to take the fight to senior Labour figures who seek to undermine him.
And let’s not forget Change UK. Weren’t they the future once? Party leader Heidi Allen talks about merging with the Lib Dems.
And we have three wily observers of the political scene in the studio too: Laura Hughes, Political Correspondent of the Financial Times; Harry Cole, Deputy Political Editor of the Mail on Sunday; and Chris Wilkins, former Director of Strategy at Number 10
