Mary Anne welcomes Belle & Sebastian to the 6 Music Live Room. The band have made a welcome return to our airwaves with their new track 鈥楽ister Buddha鈥�, out now on Matador Records. The song is taken from the soundtrack to forthcoming British indie film 鈥楧ays Of The Bagnold Summer鈥�.

Belle & Sebastian have written the entire soundtrack to the film and the album is set for release on September 13th. 鈥楧ays Of The Bagnold Summer' is a coming of age comedy, based on Joff Winterhart鈥檚 2012 graphic novel of the same name and it has been directed by Simon Bird of Inbetweeners fame.

Although apparently, 'Sister Buddha鈥� wasn鈥檛 originally written for the film, with Stuart Murdoch saying: 鈥淚t just came from my present interest in Buddhism. Simon picked up on it, wanting to have something uplifting at the end of movie, and we were happy for him to have it.鈥�
