Mary Anne welcomes Harriet Brown to our brand new Salford Live Room. The LA based musician released his second album Mall Of Fortune, earlier this year via Innovative Leisure. The album was written and recorded in Harriet’s home town, with the atmosphere of living in the City of Angels influencing the record. Harriet composed, produced, arranged, and performed every instrument and the album also features the vocalists Ana Roxanne and Felicia Douglass.
Born in the Bay Area, Harriet's real name is Aaron Valenzuela. He grew up in a devoutly Christian Filipino-American household, singing in church and studying piano from a young age. His debut New Era EP was released in 2014, followed by his 2017 debut album Contact which explored the electricity of new connections and the distance of old friends. Harriet cites producers and songwriters such as Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Kanye West and Janet Jackson as his inspirations.
