Art is Everywhere... Live in Margate

Mary Anne Hobbs hosts her show live from the Turner Contemporary Gallery in Margate for this year's Art is Everywhere celebrations.

For this year鈥檚 Art is Everywhere season, Mary Anne Hobbs will be hosting her show live from the Turner Contemporary Gallery in Margate where the winner of this year鈥檚 Turner Prize will be announced. Throughout the show we welcome the great and good of the art world and beyond, including Turner Prize winning artist Mark Leckey, who has currently transformed Tate Britain鈥檚 galleries with a "life-size replica of a motorway bridge on the M53 on the Wirral, Merseyside". We also welcome the performance artist Theo Adams to the show, who is the creative director of FKA Twigs' recent World Tour, we hear all about the local art scene with Margate Resident Gemma Cairney and we have live music from Erland Cooper and Ava.

Art is everywhere is 6 Music鈥檚 annual celebration of art in all its forms and coincides with the annual Turner Prize ceremony. The season explores the great artists of each generation, its rising stars and explores the relationship between music and visual art. All week the 6 Music listeners have been sharing their creativity using #6MusicArt and some of these images will be projected onto a wall inside the Turner Contemporary.
