Ben and Kate find out how to encourage secretary birds to mate. They also serve up a healthy meal to a wise old wolf, and Jean finds out how to determine the gender of a scorpion
In today’s programme, a romantic liaison is planned between two crafty kinkajous. But these animals have sharp teeth and claws, so the keepers must keep a close eye on this first date. If all goes well, the park could have its first ever kinkajou baby. Are they a match?
Kate administers a calming treat to Razina the rhino. She has been undergoing fertility treatment in an effort to help rescue the northern white rhino species.
Armed with just a pillowcase and some protective glasses, the keepers move two secretary birds to a new enclosure. With an impressive kick that can stun a snake, they must be approached with caution.
Ben serves up a healthy lunch to wise old wolf Dave, who is still one of the park’s most popular animals. And could you tell the difference between a male and female scorpion? Jean Johansson finds out how to do just that.
