A prize-winning poem, Kilkeel’s Ulster-Scots heritage on video, a fiddle repair shop and a comment on a football crisis

A prize-winning poem, a video introduction to the Ulster-Scots heritage of the Kingdom of Mourne, a fiddle repair shop and a comment on a football crisis.

This week’s team of Helen Mark, Rab Lennox, Jonnie Crawford and Willie Hill are joined by Alan Millar who reads his prize-winning poem “Wee Weaver Birdies”. Willie meets a fiddle maker and repairer, Jonnie hears Liam Beckett’s views on the latest football antics (hint, he’s ready to give up and go fishing…) and the enthusiastic Ulster-Scots folk in Kilkeel have two new videos going online with plans to draw more visitors to the Kingdom of Mourne!

As always, the team members love to hear from listeners! Your comments and suggestions are welcome – as well as news of your upcoming Ulster-Scots events and yarns to share. You can email the Kintra team at kintra@bbc.co.uk
