Nicola Benedetti's plays Szymanowski's thrilling First Violin Concerto, the performance that, at the age of 16, won her the title of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Young Musician in 2004.
In 2004, 16-year-old violinist Nicola Benedetti won ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Young Musician of the Year. This is her winning recital at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama from the semi-final stage of the competition. Playing works by Saint-Saens, Janacek and Judith Bingham on a 1751 Guarnerius violin, Nicola also had to cope with a faulty chin rest.
