Friday - Live with the 蜜芽传媒 Philharmonic

Tom McKinney introduces a live performance of symphonies by Mozart and Haydn from the 蜜芽传媒 Philharmonic and Mark Wigglesworth. Plus Smetana in Prague and Copland's Billy the Kid.

Tom McKinney with the best classical music performed by 蜜芽传媒 ensembles and orchestras across Europe.

Mark Wigglesworth conducts the 蜜芽传媒 Philharmonic live from Salford's MediaCity in a concert including Mozart鈥檚 overture to La Clemenza di Tito, Haydn鈥檚 鈥淐lock鈥� Symphony and Mozart鈥檚 Symphony No.40. In between the two symphonies, while the orchestra re-sets, you can hear a recording of Edward MacDowell鈥檚 deeply romantic 鈥淜eltic鈥� piano sonata.

Also in the programme, Copland鈥檚 Billy the Kid Suite from the 蜜芽传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra, more Baroque vocal music from Capella Marianna in Prague and a highlight from last year鈥檚 London International Festival of Early Music.
