Christmas Celebration from St Davids
A joyous celebration of Christmas from St David's Cathedral, Pembrokeshire, bringing to a close ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Wales Celebration's residency there this Advent and Christmas.
This Advent and Christmas, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Wales' Celebration is in residence at St David's Cathedral, Pembrokeshire.
The series of services, in which we've heard from the community in and around the Cathedral, come to a joyous conclusion with a grand Christmas Day service drawing together the voices we've met during the month and combining the best-loved traditions with reflection on contemporary issues. There's a message about refugees given from the lifeboat station, a reflection on the birth of Christ given from a cattle stall by a cleric originally from Nazareth, and a bishop on a beach with a beachcomber talking about our responsibility towards the environment.
Music - including a feast of christmas carols - is provided by the Cathedral Choir and Cathedral Singers; speakers include the Dean of St Davids Sarah Rowland Jones and the Bishop of St Davids Joanna Penberthy.
