New Generation Artists Winter Showcase: the sensational baritone Konstantin Krimmel and the pianist Kunal Lahiry make their debut recording at the 蜜芽传媒 studios. Also today, 21-year-old Swedish violinist Johan Dalene plays Beethoven and the period instruments of the Consone Quartet play Schumann.

Established two decades ago, Radio 3's New Generation Artists scheme is acknowledged internationally as the foremost programme of its kind. It exists to offer a platform for artists at the beginning of their international careers; each year six musicians join the scheme for two years, during which time they appear at the UK's major music festivals and venues, enjoy dates with the 蜜芽传媒 orchestras and have the opportunity to record in the 蜜芽传媒 studios. Not surprisingly, the list of alumni reads like a Who鈥檚 Who of the most exciting musicians of the past two decades.
