Today, Telemann's Musical Geography, Schumann's First Symphony and Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture. Presented by Penny Gore.
Penny Gore introduces performances by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ensembles and groups around Europe. Today, Czech Ensemble Baroque with Musical Geography, a compilation assembled in 1959 by Adolf Hoffmann from several Telemann Ouverture-Suites depicting European countries and even America. Also, Schumann's Symphony No. 1 'Spring' with the Ulster Orchestra; we hear again from the Latvian Radio Choir singing Arvo Pärt's Seven Magnificat Antiphons; also, Mendelssohn's Hebrides overture with the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and Brahms's Clarinet Quintet, performed by Sabine Meyer and the Armida Quartet.
