Episode Four - France & Belgium
The Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon adventures across the musical landscape of his favourite continent. This week he’s headed to France and Belgium.
Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy enjoys a grand tour across six European countries or regions to discover - via a mix of the obvious and the obscure - the influence their music and creativity has had on the rest of the world.
In an era where travel has been limited - this show encourages escapism - music working with our imagination to take us on hour long adventures across the entire continent.
On episode 4, Neil finds himself in France and Belgium, sharing with us some familiar and not so familiar singers, producers and composers. Air, Daft Punk and Christine & The Queens lead the way – but there’s also sublime recordings from Jacque Brel, Michel Legrand and Francoise Hardy, a little Ravel and – of course – Jean-Michel Jarre.
