Also, Cerys welcomes Andrew McMillan to The Poet Tree to discuss their work, influences and inspirations. Andrew was acknowledge by previous Poet Tree guest Malika Booker. Andrew published his award-winning debut collection, Physical, in 2015, which became the first poetry collection to win the Guardian First Book Award. He is a senior lecturer at the Manchester Writing School at MMU. This month, he co-edited the 100 Queer Poems collection with Mary Jean Chan, a collection featuring work by Elizabeth Bishop and Langston Hughes to Ocean Vuong and Jay Bernard.
