Monday - Puccini鈥檚 Il Tabarro at the 蜜芽传媒 Proms

Fiona Talkington introduces another chance to hear Puccini鈥檚 one-act operatic masterpiece 鈥淚l Tabarro鈥� at the 蜜芽传媒 Proms - a score that swirls and throbs with the energy of the River Seine.

Natalya Romaniw stars as the unhappily married Giorgetta, whose affair is the catalyst for murder. Two orchestral favourites set the watery scene: Respighi鈥檚 Fountains of Rome 鈥� by turns glistening in the sunlight and swathed in dawn mist 鈥� and the irrepressible musical antics of Dukas鈥檚 The Sorcerer鈥檚 Apprentice.
