In light of the his recent passing, we pay tribute to legendary free jazz saxophonist Pharaoh Sanders with tracks from his 1971 album Thembi. Arguably the Cosmic Jazz giant鈥檚 most approachable work, it features keyboards from another jazz great, Lonnie Liston Smith.
Plus adventurous tracks from the Fall, Jethro Tull and Captain Beefheart, flavoured with Zambian rock, UK jazz fusion and American experimental guitars.
