Penny Gore kicks off this week of programmes with a performance of Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony in Munich. Jordi Savall brings us one of the Cantigas de Santa Maria every day this week, there’s Renaissance polyphony from Stile Antico, plus we celebrate Philip Glass’s 85th birthday with pianists Dennis Russell Davies and Maki Namekawa, and Gabriel Jackson’s 60th birthday with The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Singers. And there’s music by Brahms, Debussy, Elgar, Bach, Augusta Holmès and Ethel Smyth into the bargain.
