'There was quite an art in the one-legged kick!'

Tony in Canada explains the one-legged kick. It is a complicated art requiring balance.

"Over here we call pointy shoes bankers rather than winklepickers," says Tony Worth in Canada. "I'm not quite sure where the name originated, but I remember wearing them at High School when I was a teenager, and we used to take great pride in seeing how high we could kick with our bankers."

"This is very complicated," Sean says to Janet. "I may need you or Thomasina to demonstrate this."

"There was quite a knack to the one-legged kick," says Tony Worth in Canada. "You would stand on one leg and raise your other thigh slowly up in the air at a ninety degree angle and then rapidly kick up in the air."

"Would you like to try that, girls?" Sean asks.

Thomasina tries it. "Wonderful!" Sean says.

"The higher the better!" Tony Worth in Canada says. "The aim was to kick as high as your head."

"I see," Sean says. Janet has just fallen down.
