ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Singers on International Women's Day
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Singers and their chief conductor, Sofi Jeannin, mark International Women's Day 2023 with a concert of contemporary choral music from St Giles, Cripplegate in London.
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Singers perform more music by women composers than any other group in the world, and this International Women's Day the group presents a programme of works by contemporary composers. At the heart of the programme are two world premieres; the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ commission by the young British composer Lucy Walker who is rapidly gaining a vibrant reputation within the world of choral music, alongside a setting by Helen Neeves which explores the poetry of the Brontë sisters.
Presented by Sarah Walker. Recorded in St Giles Church, Cripplegate, London on 19 January 2023.
