Lizzo chats to Nemone about the inspirational women who have impacted her life and career, with music from Lizzo鈥檚 favourite women artists.

Lizzo talks about the influence of Queen Latifah, the power of seeing Destiny鈥檚 Child performing in Walmart when she was 10, and the importance of seeing people who look like you in the music industry. She also discusses self-love and the importance of being kind to yourself, and what to expect from her 2023 UK tour.

10 years on from her first 6 Music session in 2013, and fresh from her iconic performance at the 2023 Brit Awards and winning the Grammy Award for Record of the Year, Lizzo returns to the 6 Music studios just before embarking on the UK leg of her Special World Tour.

Lizzo is known for using her platform to celebrate women and champion women's empowerment. A classically trained flautist, she named her instrument Sasha Flute in honour of Beyonce虂 and she has collaborated with the likes of Missy Elliott, SZA, and Big Freedia. Her fourth album Special came out last year.
