At last year’s meet, the men’s 1500m was dominated by the Brits, with reigning world champion Jake Wightman finishing first, less than one second ahead of compatriot Jake Heyward in the Moroccan heat.

Jamaica’s five-time Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah topped the podium in the women’s 100m, while American star Kenny Bednarek edged out South African Luxolo Adams in the men’s 200m.
