Keely Hodgkinson takes centre stage for Great Britain as she aims for a first 800m world title, one of seven gold medals to be decided on the final night in Hungary.

The 21-year-old bettered her own British 800m record earlier this summer, and with defending champion Athing Mu taking a late decision on whether or not to race, Hodgkinson’s chances of becoming the first British woman to claim the world title over this distance could rest on avenging her defeat to Kenya’s Mary Moraa at last year’s Commonwealth Games.

Great Britain will be seeking another podium place in the curtain-closing women’s 4x400m relay, having claimed bronze in 2022.
