Sarah Walker presents a selection of highlights from the 2022 Two Moors Festival and the 2023 Cowbridge Music Festival. This final concert in the series begins with the famed Dumky Piano Trio by Dvo艡谩k, performed by Trio Gaspard at Holy Cross Parish Church in Cowbridge. This mighty six movement work, which carries its listeners between melancholic sections and faster movements, has become one of Dvo艡谩k鈥檚 most popular works. The concert ends with a return to Dulverton on Exmoor, and a performance given by the Orsino Ensemble of Jan谩膷ek鈥檚 Ml谩di, or 'Youth'. In this four movement work, the seventy-year-old composer reminisces about his boyhood.
