Episode 6: Time to get weird

The Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon adventures across the musical landscape of Europe.

Neil Hannon is back again to explore the music and creativity of Europe - but ignoring the UK and Ireland, of course!

This week – things take a bit of a turn. Blaming the plasterer not turning up on time (coupled with the realization his dogs might not live forever) Neil ends up down a rabbit hole of misery and trauma.

It all makes for a unique hour of mostly quite troubling music. Thankfully Neil delivers on his promise to take us by the hand and offer constant reassurance. In fairness, tracks from Amanda Leir, Ennio Morricone and Nico are very lovely – it’s just that there’s a few rather alarming moments elsewhere. You have been warned….
