Islay-born artist Heather Dewar creates colour portraits of well-known Gaels, while teasing out of them every little detail of their life story!

In this programme, Heather meets and draws Lord Minginish, Roddy John Macleod, the first and only Gaelic speaker ever to have been Chair of the Land Court. Heather takes some time away from the studio to visit Whistler’s portrait of Thomas Carlyle at Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
