Jem Finer and Apartment House pay homage to the resonant sound world of the hurdy-gurdy. And singer and multi-instrumentalist H茅lo茂se Werner and friends play an extended set at London's Milton Court. And, from Birmingham, the Bozzini Quartet plays Michael Walters' I fear (4) my life, a work he says which channels the party-atmosphere-meets-activism of Pride events; it's directly inspired by the statistics for sexual orientation motivated hate crimes in Canada and the UK. There are also the latest releases including Moor Mother's chilling response to Europe's slaving legacy. And, to finish, Kerry Yong play's American minimalist, David Mahler's Only Music can Save me Now.
