The ѿý Singers at 100 plus symphonic Schubert

100 years of the ѿý Singers with music by Stanford and Poulenc and Tom continues his series of symphonies by Schubert with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra and Andrew Manze.

The celebrations marking 100 years of the ѿý Singers continues with performances of choral masterpieces by Charles Villiers Stanford and Francis Poulenc and Tom continues his sequence of symphonies by Schubert with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra and Andrew Manze performing the 4th Symphony in C minor - his so-called 'Tragic' symphony. Also in today's programme a chance to hear a complete performance from another of the quarter finalists of the ѿý Young Muscian competition.
