Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical favourites.
Today's Classical Mixtape takes us from Leroy Anderson's charming 1951 miniature "Plink, Plank, Plank!" to a foxtrot by Budapest born composer Pál Hermann, via William Boyce and Rachmaninov. We then hear Bruckner's exquisite motet 'Locus iste', followed by music by Beethoven and Agatha Backer-Grondahl (close associate of Grieg), before we end on a more upbeat note courtesy of Gustav Holst, as performed by the RNCM Wind Orchestra.
