The Yardbirds' Jim McCarty joins Cerys to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the band's first documented live appearance at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½. To mark the occasion, the band are releasing a four CD box set: The Ultimate Live at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ 4CD SET, featuring tracks which haven't been heard since the broadcast.
Jim, the band's drummer, started the band in 1963 with Keith Relf, Top Topham, Chris Dreja and Paul Samwell-Smith. Over the years, The Yardbirds launched the careers of Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck. Their Top Ten hits include For Your Love, Heart Full of Soul, Shape of Things and Evil Hearted You.
