The producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Emma-Jean Thackray sits in for Soweto all this week.

From Monday to Thursday, guitarist, vocalist and sound-healer Arowah is Emma-Jean's guest. Arowah describes their latest project B.H.A.M. as a "love letter to black activists, and to all who work towards liberation". She's also one of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 3's 25 for 25 composers, and her piece gets another airing in this programme.

Arowah will be sharing music by living legends and unsung heroes for our series Flowers – giving artists their due while they're still with us. Their first selection is from drummer Terri Lyne Carrington.

Plus, there's music from Georgia Anne Muldrow, Oreglo and Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange.

To listen on most smart speakers, just say: 'Ask ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sounds to play Round Midnight.'
