The ѿý Scottish Tour the Proms in Seoul and the Belcea Quartet at 30

Elizabeth Alker with exclusive recordings including the ѿý Scottish Symphony Orchestra on tour to South Korea and a Mendelssohn octet to mark 30 years of the Belcea Quartet.

Elizabeth Alker introduces an afternoon of exclusive recordings including highlights from the ѿý Scottish Symphony Orchestra’s recent tour to South Korea. Today a homage to Beethoven from one of South Korea’s foremost composers, Unsuk Chin, and the first half of a “Last Night of the Proms” given at the end of 2024 at the Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul by the orchestra with conductor Ryan Wigglesworth and South Korean baritone Taehan Kim. Also in today’s Classical Live Elizabeth marks 30 years of the Belcea Quartet with a specially made recording of Mendelssohn’s celebrated Octet performed with the Ebéne Quartet.
