"Coyle, I believe you were looking for my advice the other day about cutting your grass. It鈥檚 ok to cut your grass when the grass is dry enough and under foot is also firm enough to walk on. You鈥檒l do more harm than good if either is too wet plus you鈥檒l just dull the sharp edge on your blades. Even if it鈥檚 good to go you only want to be taking a bit off the top to leave it tidy and not to put the mower under stress by cutting too low. St Patrick鈥檚 day was always a good guide to start but with the milder winters that date has moved to the start of March. Beware of the moss which will be plentiful with the damp weather too." texts the Lawn Ranger.

Martin in Derry has some advice too "Don't mow your grass at this time of the year, just pour a bottle of Vodka on it and it will come up half cut."
