Celebrating 25 years of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ New Generation Artists scheme, with live studio performances from mezzo-soprano Helen Charlston, violinist Johan Dalene and saxophonist Emma Rawicz.
Founded in 1999, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ New Generation Artists scheme supports some of the world’s most exciting young instrumentalists, ensembles and singers at the start of their international careers, through performance and broadcast opportunities on Radio 3. Now numbering well over 150, the list of alumni features many of the biggest names in classical music and jazz, including Paul Lewis (piano), Alina Ibragimova (violin), the Ebene and Pavel Haas Quartets, Misha Mullov-Abbado (jazz bass), Alison Balsom (trumpet), Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha (soprano), Mahan Esfahani (harpsichord), Anastasia Kobekina (cello) and many more.
