RPS Awards 2025
Highlights from last night's annual Royal Philharmonic Society Awards given at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and introduced for Radio 3 by Andrew McGregor.
Highlights from last night's annual Royal Philharmonic Society Awards given at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire - the "biggest night in UK classical music" - and the first time the Awards have been held in Birmingham. The RPS Awards 2025 are a celebration of the creativity, talent and achievement of the those working in classical music across this last year, from major international performing stars to the often unsung heroes who bring music and music-making into the nation's communities. The ceremony this year is introduced by Radio 3's own Jess Gillam and Tom McKinney.
Who will win the Ensemble Prize? The Opera and Music Theatre Prize? Instrumentalist? Conductor? Composition? Or the Inspiration or Impact prize? Andrew McGregor guides us through the evening, eavesdropping on events and bringing us music from those who have won.
