“It was a penalty kick without the goalkeeper!”
Barney Sloan's quiz question is described as a penalty kick without the keeper.
“I had a whole handling last night,” Sean says, thanks to Davey in Bangor and Mick McBride. I had a sleepless night. I had a Barney Sloan quiz question on the programme you see yesterday and Davy said the question was far too easy. And Mick McBride said it was a penalty kick without the goalkeeper. Barney is furious. I felt like going to his house and putting him to bed. He said he was going to show you today. So this is not down to me, but Barney has put a difficult question today.
And the question is, ‘Why was Alec Dane on TV all through the 1960s? He was on every Friday night’ And I know it’s hard, but we have Mick McBride and Davy in Bangor to thank.”
With music from Manfred Mann, Eddie Cochrane, Ray Charles, and more.
