Cerys invites American singer-songwriter JD McPherson to share the blues music that's shaped his life.

JD McPherson grew up in rural Oklahoma with an early interest in rock 'n' roll music and artists like Buddy Holly. After working as an art teacher for four years, JD embarked on a full time music career and released his debut album Signs and Signifiers in 2012. His latest album Nite Owls was recorded in Chicago with the intention of capturing a live feel. He's supported Robert Plant and Alison Krauss on their 2022 tour and this year will be headlining Red Rooster Festival on a line up that includes Jerron Paxton, Samantha Fish, Toby Lee, and Jontavious Willis.
