Greensleeves Records is a legendary UK label that played a pivotal role in bringing reggae, dancehall, and dub to global audiences. Founded in 1977 by Chris Cracknell and Chris Sedgwick, it became the go-to label for Jamaican music in the UK, signing artists like Yellowman, Barrington Levy, and Eek-A-Mouse. In the 鈥�90s and 2000s, it helped popularise dancehall, working with Vybz Kartel, Elephant Man, and Beenie Man. The label was instrumental in distributing riddims like Diwali, Sleng Teng, and Streetsweeper, shaping the sound of modern dancehall. Now part of VP Records, Greensleeves' legacy remains unmatched in reggae history.
