Your perfect Sunday soundtrack
Sarah Walker with three hours of classical music to reflect, restore and refresh, whether you’re eating breakfast, or doing some spring cleaning.
Sarah Walker with three hours of classical music to reflect, restore and refresh.
Today, Sarah welcomes Spring into the garden with music by Wilhelm Petersen-Berger that celebrates flowers blooming on a Swedish Island, and Chopin’s ‘Butterfly’ piano etude which perfectly reflects the first flutterings of wings.
There’s also a movement from Beethoven’s ‘Pastoral’ Symphony, with its wide open vistas of green, otherworldly choral music from Judith Weir, and passionate music of young love (and tragedy) from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet.
Plus, we’re off to Rome with Bizet…
