Tom McKinney presents Radio 3’s Breakfast show live from Salford, including ѿý Radio 3’s 25 for 25: Sounds of the Century – a series of brand new commissions celebrating and commemorating some of the biggest events of the 21st century so far. This week, in Echoing Souls performed by the ѿý Concert Orchestra Los-Angeles based Japanese composer Karen Tanaka commemorates the victims of the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami which caused the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster and was the most powerful earthquake in the country’s history.
