Mickey Bartlett: Ballybogey
It’s been there, dung that for comedians Paddy Raff and Mickey Bartlett as their trip to Ballybogey, County Antrim features milking cows, driving mini trains and sleeping in a horse truck.
The idea of holidaying off the beaten track is that you get to do and see things you never normally would, which is why comedian Paddy Raff and Mickey Bartlett find themselves at the wrong end of 40 cows in a milking shed on a farm near Ballybogey, County Antrim.
Ballybogey is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it village not far from the spectacular north coast of Northern Ireland. Nigel wants Paddy and Mickey to prove that if you don’t take that ten-minute detour, you’ll really be missing out.
Missing out on staying in a unique converted 1960s Bedford truck with its own wood-fired hot tub. Missing out on getting to drive, and hopefully not crash, lovingly hand-built miniature steam trains. And missing out on one of the best dinners you’ll ever have, in a restaurant where you sit down not just with the super friendly locals but also two racing motorbikes and a classic Mini Cooper!
Surely Nigel will have no problem turning this fabulous footage full of laughs and flying cow dung into a promotional video that will turn this lesser-travelled town into a top tourist destination?
