Tom McKinney presents Radio 3’s Breakfast show live from Salford, including ѿý Radio 3’s 25 for 25: Sounds of the Century – a series of brand new commissions celebrating and commemorating some of the biggest events of the 21st century so far. This week, in Rainbow Promise, Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin celebrates the same sex marriage legislation which was passed in 2013. With a nod to Mendelssohn’s famous wedding march the piece is performed by the ѿý Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
