Piano recital live from London's Wigmore Hall

Fiona Talkington showcases the best performances from the UK and beyond, including a live recital from London's Wigmore Hall with pianist Anne Queffélec.

Fiona Talkington showcases the best performances by ѿý orchestras, choirs, ensembles and other great performing groups from Europe and around the globe.

We begin the programme with a live concert from London’s Wigmore Hall. French pianist Anne Queffélec offers a beguiling selection of works from her strikingly eclectic repertoire, including delightful salon pieces from Belle Époque Paris and Mozart’s radiant Sonata in B flat.

Elsewhere, we have music inspired by artwork, including Respighi's 3 Botticelli Pictures, inspired by Sandro Botticelli, and Hindemith's Symphony 'Mathis der Maler', inspired by Isenheim.

Fiona also has a spotlight on the Danish national baroque orchestra Concerto Copenhagen. Today, we hear them perform La Primavera from Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Georg Muffat's Sonata No 2 in G minor.
