Tor Maries of Billy Nomates returns to the programme to pick up where her 2022 conversation with Nemone left off, taking in her latest record ‘Metal Horse’ and her experiences with social media in the intervening years.

Talking to Nemone, who combines her roles of DJ and qualified psychotherapist, Tor dives deep to share her story and the songs that have moved her over the ups and downs of the last few years. She also reveals how personal experiences and emotions are woven through her own work.

Dedicated to her father, who passed away before the release of the album, Metal Horse, Tor talks candidly about how his influence shaped her love of music and the album itself. She also discusses her approach to the social media landscape, after a negative experience following a Glastonbury performance a few years ago made her question everything about life as an artist – an event that also led 6Music to launch Change The Tune twelve months ago - an on-air, digital and social media initiative to raise awareness of the impact that online abuse has on the lives of artists.

Billy Nomates also remembers the thrill she got in working with The Stranglers very own Hugh Cornwell on Metal Horse, and reveals how food and swimming are new parts of her self-care regime.
