with Cathy MacDonald
The election of Pope Leo XIV, Bruce Parry on his new Tribe series and his relationship with spirituality, and David Attenborough's Oceans film.
As Catholics around the world celebrate the election of Pope Leo XIV, Cathy chats to Charles Collins, managing editor of The Crux, about the values and vision of the American former cardinal Robert Prevost.
Val Brown, the head of Christian Aid Scotland, joins Cathy ahead of the charity’s 80th anniversary celebrations to reflect on the profound impact it has made here in Scotland and globally, and to discuss the organisation’s future aspirations.
Sharing his Spiritual Life with Cathy this week is the explorer and filmmaker Bruce Parry, who returned to our screens after more than a decade away with a new series of Tribe with Bruce Parry. Together, they discuss the influence first-hand tribal living has had on Bruce’s personal life and his own inner journey from devout Christianity to embracing animism.
Joining this week’s Faith Forum panel is lawyer and member of the Sikh community in Scotland Rupa Mooker; professor of Religious and Cultural Education at the University of Glasgow Bob Davis; and environmental scientist and climate change campaigner Laura Young.
This week, they are looking back to VE Day and exploring the power and importance of living witnesses.
As Sir David Attenborough presents his new film, Ocean, the panel give their own reviews and discuss what our own personal legacies to the earth could – and should – be.
And finally, as best pals Ewan MacGregor and Charley Boorman get their leathers on for a new series of Long Way ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½, the panel examines friendships and asks: just how deep are yours, and do they differ depending on gender?
