Naturally beautiful with Martyn Stewart and Sophie Pavelle

Cerys curates an eclectic Sunday morning playlist and this week chats to prolific sound recordist Martyn Stewart and science communicator Sophie Pavelle.

Cerys curates an eclectic Sunday morning playlist filled with her new discoveries and unearthed classics from around the globe.
This week she chats to prolific sound recordist Martyn Stewart and science communicator Sophie Pavell.

Since 1975, Martyn Stewart has travelled the globe, microphone and recorder in hand and has captured almost 100,000 sounds from the natural world. We’ll hear an alligator’s deep rumbling, a hurricane in Florida, a glacier groaning, wolves howling in the night and much more.

Cerys also catches up with author and wildlife trust ambassador Sophie Pavelle about her new book ‘To Have or To Hold: Nature’s Hidden Relationships’. It’s an exploration of nature's symbiotic relationships, some comforting and familiar, others wildly alien.
