Visiting his house in Southport, Alison learns that Tony and his wife Rachael are in the middle of big house renovations. Tony shows Alison around and reveals that they only have one working room in their house – much to her dismay. Tony opens up about life after retirement, sharing his struggles with boredom, missing the thrill of fights and the toll his boxing career has taken on his health, particularly his memory. He shares that due to the amount of punches he’s taken to the head his memory has been affected, and he fears that there may be more health implications to come.
Tony shows Alison the ropes and puts her through her paces in the ring, revealing that he owes his life to his boxing gym. After taking on Tony on the pads, Alison and Tony head to Goodison Park, not only the home of Tony’s beloved football team but the site where he won his world championship title.
It’s here that Tony shares what it’s like on fight night and what ran through his mental preparation before a big fight. He opens up about what motivated him, sharing that everything he did was to secure his family’s future. When quizzed on if he’d come out of retirement, Tony says that everyone has a price, leaving the door open.
Alison and Tony pay a visit to Tony’s childhood home to see his mum, Gail. Alison learns what Tony was like as a child and how the fight with David Haye affected the family, especially when the trash talk escalated and became personal.
The weekend wraps up with Alison taking Tony and Rachael for a well-deserved date night. Alison learns who’s in charge before surprising them with a parting gift that appeals to Rachael’s sweet tooth – their very own ice cream van.
