Linton Stephens presents Radio 3’s Breakfast show live from Salford, including ѿý Radio 3’s 25 for 25: Sounds of the Century – a series of brand new commissions celebrating and commemorating some of the biggest events of the 21st century so far. This week, violinist and co-founder of the Manchester Collective Rakhi Singh commemorates the Manchester Arena Bombing which took place on 22nd May 2017, in her piece There is nothing in the Sky. The work is recorded by the ѿý Philharmonic and features 22 bells, one for each of the lives lost that night. It’s a collaboration with music producer Sebastian Gainsborough.
