Jamie MacDougall honours some of the pioneering women whose music has shaped and enriched the classical landscape. Including music from Kassia, Imogen Holst, Sally Beamish, Evelyn Glennie, Anna Meredith and more. Sitarist and composer Anoushka Shankar introduces two contrasting pieces from her album Chapter 3 : We Return To Light, plus a special concert recording of Belize-born composer Errollyn Wallen’s The World’s Weather, performed by the ѿý Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
